Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 November 2026.

This policy covers copies of the GongLogic apps already installed, any app published from now on, the Library at read.gonglogic.com, the Shop at shop.gonglogic.com, and this website.

When you buy from the Shop, Stripe takes your payment and we never see your card. We keep your email address, your country, what you bought and when, so that we can send your files, answer questions and meet tax law. We count downloads of each file on an order and keep no address with them. Deleting an account takes your name off an order and leaves the record of the sale.

That includes the GongLogic apps and games: the language readers, dictionaries, flashcards and exercise books, and the arcade games such as Moo Mash and Pickle Park. In short: the apps have no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Most need no account; signing in is optional in the Dualfables Library app, and an account is also how you use the longer works in the Library on the web. Two things can be sent to us, and only when you choose to send them: feedback from the reader apps, and a Moo Mash leaderboard entry.

What the apps keep on your device

Your progress, saved games, scores and settings are stored on your device and are not sent anywhere, unless you sign in to the Library app (see below). Deleting an app deletes what is on the device.

What can be sent to us

Feedback (the reader apps)

If you send feedback from inside an app, it carries your message, what kind of feedback it is, the app and story it is about, the app version, your device model, operating system version and language setting, and an email address only if you choose to type one in so we can reply. We use it to fix problems and answer you, and nothing else.

Moo Mash leaderboard

Moo Mash has no ads, no analytics and no accounts. If you choose to put a run on the world leaderboard (SUBMIT on the game-over screen), the game sends the initials you typed (up to three letters or numbers), the run's score, the kind of device (phone, tablet, desktop or browser) and the time. They are shown publicly on the leaderboard. Nothing else leaves your device, and nothing is sent unless you press SUBMIT.

Deleting your Moo Mash data. To have a leaderboard entry removed, send a message through the contact page with the initials, the score and roughly when you played; the entry (initials, score, device kind and time) is deleted within 30 days and nothing of it is kept. Everything else Moo Mash knows about you is on your device: deleting the game deletes it.

Downloading content

When an app downloads stories or its catalogue from this website, the request carries nothing about you beyond what any web request does (your IP address, which the server sees but we do not use to identify you).

Your Library account

An account is optional. You need one for the longer works and for keeping your place, on the web or in the Library app. It holds your email address, a scrambled form of your password that cannot be read back, a first name if you give one, your language choices, the furthest chapter you have reached in each title, whether your email is confirmed, and anything you post in the forum.

If you sign in to the Library app, it sends your email and password once, over HTTPS, and receives a sign-in key that it keeps on your device; we keep only a scrambled copy of that key, with your device's model name so a sign-in can be told apart. The app then tells this website which chapter you have reached, so your place is the same on the web and in the app.

This website

gonglogic.com and its other sites, including read.gonglogic.com, use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Purchases

Library subscriptions are sold only on this website, through Link, the merchant of record service run by Stripe. Stripe takes the payment and holds your card details, and we never see them. Stripe tells us your customer reference, your plan, when your paid period ends, and the country of your card, which we use to work out which books may legally be shown to you. Stripe handles this under its own privacy policy. Paid apps and earlier purchases were handled by the App Store or Google Play, and we never saw those payment details either.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services named on this page, to do what is described here, and where the law requires it. Everything the apps send travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Keeping and deleting

You can delete your Library account yourself at read.gonglogic.com/delete-account, or ask through the contact page if you cannot sign in. That deletes the account, your reading places and your app sign-ins straight away, and stops any subscription renewing. Forum posts stay in their conversations with your name taken off, and feedback stays with your name and address taken off. Stripe keeps its record of past payments for as long as tax law requires. Otherwise an account is kept until you delete it.

Feedback is kept while it is useful for fixing and improving the apps. Leaderboard entries stay on the leaderboard. To have feedback you sent or a leaderboard entry deleted, get in touch through the contact page and we will remove it.

Children

The apps are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has sent us some, get in touch and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what the apps send changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
